About Me:

With more than 30 years of experience in architectural drafting, design development, construction documentation, and project coordination, I bring a practical, technically focused approach to every project. My work has included residential and commercial projects across multiple jurisdictions, with an emphasis on producing clear, coordinated, permit-ready construction documents. I have extensive experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, construction detailing, code research, plan-check responses, feasibility studies, and the coordination of architectural requirements with structural, mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. I approach each project from both a design and constructability perspective. Good drawings should do more than communicate an idea—they should anticipate questions, resolve conflicts, address code requirements, and give contractors and reviewing agencies the information they need to move a project forward. Throughout my career, I have worked with homeowners, contractors, consultants, engineers, architects, and public agencies. That experience has strengthened my ability to identify technical issues early, communicate solutions clearly, and navigate the often-complicated path from an initial concept through permitting and construction. I am currently continuing my professional path toward architectural licensure in the State of California through the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). Returning to the licensure process after decades of hands-on project experience has given me an opportunity to strengthen my knowledge in areas including structures, lateral forces, building systems, professional practice, and project management while applying those principles directly to real-world work. I believe experience and continued learning should go hand in hand. Whether I am developing a set of construction documents, researching a difficult code issue, responding to plan-check comments, or helping determine whether a project is feasible, my goal is the same: provide thoughtful, accurate, and buildable solutions that help move the project forward.
